AFN Anti-Discrimination Policy
Austin Free-Net’s mission is to provide resources in accessible, friendly, and convenient public spaces, to Austin-area residents who don’t have computers of their own and to educate the public on the importance of providing equitable access to all Austin residents. Austin Free-Net relies on community leadership and guidance to successfully carry out this mission.
Austin Free-Net is committed to maintaining work environments, programs and activities that are free of discrimination and harassment based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, economic means, academic skills, marital status, degree of disability or perceived disability, national origin, language, HIV, and veteran status. In order to be truly community-driven, we seek diversity and merit in the selection of Austin Free-Net staff and volunteers, Site and Project Partners, members of the Board of Directors and related community advisory bodies, contributors, affiliates and vendors who also adhere to nondiscriminatory policies and practices.
Austin Free-Net carefully and seriously considers all requests for reasonable accommodations.
